Strachan has strong BMW test
Picton's Malcolm Strachan keeps on proving his
versatility behind the wheel, this time driving his
fourth different type of car of the season to complete
100 laps of testing at Shannonville Motorsport Park on
the weekend.
Strachan was in the cockpit of a BMW powered Formula
car which was provided by Jenson Motorsports.
Strachan, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at
Queen's University, was testing as a possible lead up to driving a Formula
Atlantic car at the Molson Indy Races in Toronto,
Montreal and Vancouver.
The Konica Minolta driver learned new techniques
quickly and was posting some serious lap times by his
second session.
By the end of the day, Strachan had not only made a
smooth transition to the Formula cars, but proved to
be very competitive as shown by the information
provided by the data acquisition equipment.
The multi-championship driver will likely be testing
south of the boarder in the new year.
